Casuarina Jewelry: My Story

I found a tiny sea urchin on Harbour Island in the Bahamas when I was young and saved it for 15 years! (It survived a lot of cross country moves!) For all those years, I told myself that one day I would have a fine jewelry line and turn it into a piece of jewelry. The mini sea urchin earrings were my very first design- made from a mold of the original tiny sea urchin I found all those years before. My sisters still have the original 10 year-old pairs!

I designed a whole Harbour Island themed collection and Princess Street Gallery was my first store to sell them. My husband named the business after the delicate, wispy pine trees along the beaches in the Bahamas- the Casuarina pines.

We now live in Camden, SC, the jewelry is made in Beverly Hills, and Princess Street Gallery on Harbour Island is still our favorite shop!

Thank you so much for supporting this dream of a business!
